Re-Think Your Summer Getaway
As we say goodbye to an extremely busy last four months, we are looking ahead to time spent enjoying our own family and friends. Fast approaching are graduations, college admissions, summer vacations, and children staying up late. When we think of summer vacation ideas, let’s invite family and friends to explore all we have to offer in our own backyard. I get it, we all want to get away after busy times with work and school, but we have so much more to offer as a community without leaving on an airplane. Whether it is your main family vacation or an additional getaway, Key Largo area businesses offer everything we are looking for. When was the last time you took a glass Your Staycation Starts Here bottom boat ride, stayed in a local hotel, visited local art galleries or local museums? Have you swam with the dolphins, listened to area
musicians, visited our many local non- profits? Now is a great time to snorkel the best sites in the world, fish our waters, and visit a state and national park. Right here in Key Largo you can taste all the best flavors food has to offer, and the sunset never gets old. Many of our businesses offer local discounts, and the Key Largo Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center is happy to help with that information. We are so fortunate for all we have to offer and the ways we can help each other. Let’s all have a memorable summer and an excellent “STAYCATION”! And don’t forget... Mothers’ Day is May 12, so please remember the special ladies in your life.
